Position Title: Operator
Department/Location: Shred/Stephenville
Title of Immediate Leader: Shred TA/TL
Full Time: Yes
Shift: Gray Nights 7p-7a
**offering $2/HR Night Shift Premium for any hours worked 7p-7a!**
Base Rate: $21.
19 Position Purpose: Primary duties are as follows, responsible for the overall production on the shred production lines and attached equipment.
Follow and maintain all related PCP’s and Critical control points.
Facilitate quick changeovers, assist in cleaning, emptying trays and tubs, and assisting where needed.
Other duties may be assigned.
This position may require coverage on other shifts or working other shifts due to vacations, etc.
Work with Leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety.
Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position.
Perform all PCP and CCP checks required for position.
Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages and by contacting TA/TL.
Essential Functions: Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines.
Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.
Must be able to identify and understand customer requirements.
Assist in machine setup and tear down.
Must be able to read production orders and remain flexible to meet customer requirements.
Tests metal detector once an hour a record data accordingly.
Load keycel into hopper or dispensing device Change and/or rethread film and zipper.
Must be able to calibrate scales.
Must be able to change and adjust shred heads, using safety lock out tag out procedures.
Assist in color, size and style changes, remove product, empty trays and tubs and assist in cleanup of equipment.
Maintain Process Control Points, record data accordingly.
Must be able to bend over, squat, twist and stoop during the performance of work duties.
Keep area clean and free of debris.
Educational/Experience/Skills Required: (Minimum Level) EDUCATION: High School Diploma/G.

EXPERIENCE: Type: Production Number of Years: N/A Other: Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential and non-essential tasks related to the job.
Successful Partners must follow and maintain PCP’s, Critical Control Points and Safety Procedures.
Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
The Shred Operator Mechanic position is not line specific.
All Operator Mechanic bid holders must be cross functional.
SKILLS: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Gain and maintain an understanding of all equipment.
Willing to perform duties assigned, manage multiple priorities.
Must have general spreadsheet knowledge/application (WordPerfect, Excel, and E-mail Systems).
Interpersonal Deductive Logic Dependable Goal Oriented Adaptable Leadership Hard Working WORKING CONDITIONS: High noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
Temperatures range from approximately 40 – 50 degrees.
During sanitation activities, potential exposure to chemicals and wet conditions is likely.
Chemicals may require the use of PPE.
