LUV N CARE LEARNING CENTER is a child-centered, hands-on academic preschool program offering care for kids ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
*Job Description* Our Management and teachers are passionate about the intellectual and emotional development of children, and we are currently in search of an equally passionate and enthusiastic *COOK *to join our child care team.
We have a great team and it’s a wonderful working environment at LUV N CARE LEARNING CENTER.
We are also hiring for positions like *Infant Teacher, Toddler Teacher, Pre-K Teacher, School-Age Teacher,* *Cook* *and Cleaning Crew.
* Our starting pay is from $14/hour & up for the lead teacher positions, from $13/hour & up for Assistant Teachers / Cook positions (with 1+ years of experience).
There will be lots of opportunities for Career growth as company is growing to its 2nd center in just 4 years and company has a solid future plan in progress for the 3rd center.
Our operation hours are from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday to Friday.

*Essential Functions of this position:* * Track the daily Kids counts by classroom before every meal (Breakfast, Lunch and PM snack) and then prepare meals accordingly with minimal waste.
* Prepare all meals (Breakfast, Lunch and PM snack) in timely manner.
* Cut Infant and Toddler foods into small pieces for them to avoid any choking hazards.
* Works cooperatively with co-teacher in your classroom and directs/helps other teachers and support staff.
* Document all meals and fill out the necessary Food Program forms.
We have all Digital paperwork through tablets.
* Prepare a list of items needed by food vendor on a weekly basis.
Remain within food budget guidelines set by LNC.
* Responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen in compliance with Luv ‘N’ Care and State Licensing standards.
* Wash and disinfect any items used during food preparation or food distribution on a daily basis.
Make sure all sanitized dishes are put away in appropriate storage areas.
* Store all leftover food in refrigerator.
Clean out unusable items from refrigerator on a weekly basis.
* Follow and implement all food and general policies and procedures set down by LNC, local, state and national regulatory agencies and Food Program.
* Prepare cleaning spray bottles every morning and deliver bottles to each classroom.
* Ensure the school has enough paper products for the following week (napkins, plates, cups, spoons, etc.
).
* Attend and participate in any additional trainings and seminars as deemed necessary.
* Ensure the Kitchen and classrooms meet all required standards for sanitation and organization.
This includes sweeping/mopping floors, carpets, wiping glass windows and doors, cleaning restrooms occasionally, wiping toys, taking out garbage, dusting, etc.
* If wants a Full-time job then also Drives a school bus (van) as a regular assignment.
If cannot OR do not want to perform this function, please let us know during the interview.
* We have two (2) school vans (15-passengers).
Person hired for this position may be driving one of the vans.
No need of commercial Driving License.
* Safely transport the students of EMS & LW ISD to and from school in the morning and afternoon.
* Establish and maintain good rapport with students, ISD faculty and LNC staff providing excellent customer service.
* Adhere to all LNC policies as set forth in the Team Orientation and Employee Handbook.
*Qualifications* * 1+ year of related experience in a licensed child care facility.
Any other experience need to be discussed during interview.
* Must meet licensing, education, and degree requirements including Criminal Background check established by the state of Texas.
* Clean driving record.
