Position Summary
The Food Truck Manager is responsible for managing food service operations on the food truck.
The Food Truck Manager will ensure all employees follow in-house policies and procedures, and meets all Health Department requirements.
This leader will interact daily with the community and volunteer.
The role is full-time, working 30-40 hours per week depending on truck schedule and the Mission's kitchen needs.
What You Do:
Ensure guest dining experience is exceptional.
Oversee the day-to-day operations on food truck, including preparation, serving, and cleaning schedules.
Assist with event scheduling, including staffing or volunteer needs
Manage employees or volunteers working on the food truck, including coaching, training, scheduling, and safety.
Maintain and ensure all sanitation, health, and safety standards are met by all employees or volunteers.
Ensure food safety standards are maintained during preparation, cooking, serving, storage, and cleaning practices.
Prepare and serve food, verifying the prepared foods meet requirements for quality and quantity.
Menu planning, including writing menu, ordering food, and verifying the prepared foods meet requirements for quality and quantity.
Operate and maintain equipment such as ovens, fryers, and flattop grill
Order, track, and maintain accurate and cost efficient inventory
Leadership in the back of house, rallying team during busy shifts and resolving conflicts.
What You Bring:
Experience Managing a high-volume kitchen.
An ability to travel and prepare food off-site
Leadership and Coaching experience for employees of various experience levels
Attention to detail, especially as it relates to food standards, cost, and safety measure.
An ability to accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods.
This position requires standing for entire shift and working where exposed to all types of weather conditions.
