Hi.
Up for sale to the right person needing a Handicap Van 1989 Chevrolet G20 3/4 ton Conversion Van.
I have had this van for 35 years, bought it brand new as a demo, it had 2500 miles on it at the time of purchase.
It now has 102,000.
Thats roughly 2340 miles per year.
This is a great van, always cared for properly and the first 15 years it sat in the garage and was rarely driven, collected dust and had a trickle charger attached so it would start when needed.
I was hurt badly in 2005, and I thanked God I still had the van.
This was when the Handicap conversion was installed{it had 40,000 miles at this point}.
The handicap conversion consisted of a Ricon Wheelchair Lift in the rear w/ electric doors, a B&D drivers transfer seat.
and Hand-Controls w/ an electric push button parking brake.
Also a second Battery mounted behind the second row captains chair along with the tire carrier moved from outside of the left door to inside against the right side aft.
I do still have the bench seat that makes into a bed and the one captains chair that was removed for the handicap conversion.
Coming in from the rear in the wheelchair you can roll right up to the drivers transfer seat, transfer and spin around in place to lower and belly up to the steering Wheel in order to drive.
1989 Chevrolet G20 Handicap Van 3/4 ton with TraTech Conversion 350ci V8 4 speed Automatic Transmission 102,000 miles w/custom two tone paint Blue & Silver (badly peeling, original) Highback Captians Chairs (3) Blue plush seats and blue carpet Complete new Air Conditioning System 2 years ago Two new batteries Matching Cooper Discovery Tires (75% Tread) Bench Seat makes into a bed and 1 captains chair removed, Still have thou.
Shades in all the windows which are tinted as well.
Van runs great, all the handicap equipment works like new and there is even a way to lock out wheelchair lift etc.
with a heavy duty weather proof switch by left rear tail lite which has its own key, and four ways to operate lift and doors.
two key fobs, hardwired switches by drivers seat, controls next to lift on 6ft chord, and a magnetic system under tail lite lense that operates with a magnet.
Van itself has always been meticulously maintained, after all being paralyzed its not like you can pull over and fix something.
Van never left me stranded, not once.
Out on the highway its rides like a dream.
Has often been referred to as my old goodtimes van.
But I bought a one tone van in 2015 and its my primary driver, finally ready to help some other paraplegic like myself that needs transportation, would be a fantastic first handicap van, was for me, or a family that needs to occasionally transport someone in a wheelchair.
Wheelchair can be riden in and the chair locked to the floor.
Lots of uses.
Asking $10,000 if you figure the price : $15,000 Ricon wheelchair Lift $1500 B&D drivers transfer seat $1500 Hand-Controls And the price of some of these newer Handicap Vans $50,000 and up.
.
.
wow.
$10,000 doesn't sound so bad especially for what you get.
call with any questions or want to come see it.
show contact info please leave a message if I don't answer, cannot call you back if you do not leave a message.
Remember I am in a wheelchair myself and sometimes it goes to voicemail before I can answer.
